My Opinion on Winning the Talent War

As the Marketing Head of RChilli, I participate in many discussions on simplifying the recruitment process.

The need to hire quality talent will continue to rise. And with the growing competition in the market, recruiters want to be the first one to connect to the candidates. They need effective strategies to emerge as a winner in this war of talent acquisition.

I have attended many HR tech conferences. And I see that HR technology vendors are introducing exceptional innovations to help the companies hire the perfect candidate in a fraction of time.

Let me share a few excellent strategies that will help you attract the perfect talent for your organization.

1. Focus on Candidate Experience

Every communication that a candidate has with your organization is counted as a candidate experience. It includes filling up the job application, communication between the recruiter-candidate, etc.

The shorter the job application process, the better the candidate experience. Many HR technology solutions are shortening the job application process to help candidates apply on-the-go. For example, a resume parser allows the candidates to quickly upload their resume, and it automatically fills the data fields by extracting data from the resume. As a result, the candidates are happy as they can submit their resume with a click.

Let me share a video where you can see a comparison between the Cx of companies who are using and not using a resume parser.

2. Create an Effective Employer Brand

92% of candidates would leave their current jobs for a role at a company with an excellent reputation.

Your employer brand is one of the important factors for candidates to join your organization. It also includes Employee Value Proposition that states the values of your organization and how it will benefit the current and potential employees. Make sure that you offer excellent health benefits, flexible working hours, and great company culture to create an effective employer brand.

3. Give Importance to Training

In an era of AI and automation, your employees need to hone their skills to adopt new changes. Gen-Zers look for companies that provide continuous learning in the form of trainings. Create a culture where you provide ample training opportunities to your employees.

4. Focus on Work-Life Balance

Another way of attracting talent is by offering them a balance between work and life. Employees expect the employer to reduce stress in their lives. Introducing flexible hours, meditation programs, daycare centers, fitness rooms, etc. will make your organization irresistible to work with.

5. Send Automated Notifications to Candidates

Candidates, who do not receive communication from the employer at different hiring stages, do not want to work in the same company. Meet their expectations by notifying them at every stage of the recruitment process.

I would be waiting to read your opinion on winning the talent war. Please share with me in the comments.
