News Release

The American Staffing Association today announced its participation in Business Action for Childhood Vaccinations, an initiative launched by the Health Action Alliance, bringing together a broad coalition of business and health organizations to support working parents who wish to vaccinate their children against Covid-19 and other diseases.

Comprised of more than two dozen national business and health organizations, Business Action for Childhood Vaccinations will encourage employers across the country to support their employees who wish to vaccinate their children against Covid-19 and other diseases. Support can include workplace vaccination clinics, employee incentives, and even transportation and internet access for workers looking to vaccinate their children.

“Parents need employer support to keep their children healthy and safe from Covid-19,” said Richard Wahlquist, American Staffing Association president and chief executive officer. “Through this initiative, employers are helping parents gain access to critical vaccines for their children.”

Today’s announcement signals the latest step in ASA’s ongoing Safely Back to Work initiative, which aims to help the staffing industry navigate the Covid-19 pandemic. Previously, ASA launched a Safely Back to Work resource microsite and a Covid-19 vaccine literacy microsite in partnership with the Health Action Alliance.
