Contract workers at Google cafeterias are quietly unionizing (The Washington Post)

Cafeteria workers at Google — who generally work as contractor employees — are quietly unionizing, The Washington Post reported. The workers have been unionizing in cities such as Seattle and San Jose, California, and now the union behind the effort is working to unionize contract workers at a Google facility in Atlanta. The average unionized worker at a Google cafeteria makes $24 per hour and has health insurance and pension plan.
