Procurement software provider Coupa Software (NASDAQ: COUP) — which acquired VMS DCR Workforce in August 2018 — announced today it is paying $1.5 billion to acquire LLamasoft, a supply chain software firm.

LLamasoft is based in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Its clients include Boeing, Danone, Home Depot and Nestle.

“LLamasoft’s deep supply chain expertise and sophisticated data science and modeling capabilities, combined with the roughly $2 trillion of cumulative transactional spend data we have in Coupa, will empower businesses with the intelligence needed to pivot on a dime,” Rob Bernshteyn, chairman and CEO at Coupa, said in a statement.

Coupa is based in San Mateo, California.

Llamasoft was named to the Inc. 5000 List of Fastest-Growing Private Companies this year for the sixth year in a row at No. 4,002. Inc. reports Llasmasoft “provides supply chain design software that helps organizations worldwide design and improve their supply chain operations.” Its software tools enable companies to model, optimize and simulate supply chain operations.
