Nevada task force working on independent contractor misclassification (The Nevada Independent)

Nevada’s new employee misclassification task force began meeting this year to address independent contractor misclassification in the state, The Nevada Independent reported. It noted a report by the Institute for Construction Economic Research that found more than 12,000 construction workers in the state were misclassified or working off the books in 2018 and cost Nevada $50 million in revenue.
