Red Global, an SAP and technology recruitment agency headquartered in London, appointed Matthew Hackney as managing director of its US business effective Nov. 1. Hackney was previously VP of technology and creative at Robert Half International. Hackney was a professional baseball player for the Florence (Kentucky) Freedom — now the Florence Y’alls — and New Haven County (Connecticut) Cutters baseball teams before joining the staffing industry.

Executive search firm Raines International announced that Vrinda Johnson has joined as managing director. Johnson was previously an executive director with Russell Reynolds Associates’ financial services practice. Prior to Russell Reynolds, Johnson was a director at PwC and was a co-founder and COO for social networking app ChekMarc. She is based in Chicago.

The Bowdoin Group, an executive search firm, hired Elizabeth Calder as head of people and talent. Calder previously served as director of learning and professional development at Keystone Strategy, an economics and technology consulting firm based in Boston.

MorganFranklin Consulting, the consulting platform of professional staffing firm Vaco, named Greg Rotz as managing director of its Raleigh, North Carolina, office. Rotz most recently led PwC’s emerging growth risk advisory practice in the southeast; he also spent four years with Pfizer Pharmaceuticals, including as a CFO of the company’s affiliate in Eastern Europe.
