Healthcare staffing platform SnapNurse Inc. named COO Jeff Richards as interim CEO of the company. Richards takes over from founder and former CEO Cherie Kloss, who will continue her role as a founder and remain on the board, the company announced today.

Kloss was featured on the SIA’s Staffing 100 North America list this year.

“Cherie’s vision, energy and incredible hustle built one of the most innovative platform companies in the space,” SnapNurse Chairman Francis Najafi said. “We are forever thankful for her efforts and look forward to continuing her legacy of empowering nurses through innovation and technology.”

Richards joined SnapNurse as its COO in 2017. He previously was the chief anaesthetist and director of aesthesia at Grady Hospital, where he worked as a clinician, educator and administrator.

“I am honored to accept the role of interim CEO and excited to help guide the company through this transition to the next level of innovation and growth,” Richards said.
