TrueBlue appoints new chief legal officer

TrueBlue Inc. (NYSE: TBI) appointed Garrett Ferencz as its chief legal officer, effective July 1. Ferencz, who is replacing the recently retired Jim Defebaugh, will also remain in his role as the company’s chief ethics and compliance officer.

Ferencz joined TrueBlue in 2007 and held various legal and compliance leadership roles before becoming deputy general counsel and chief litigation officer in 2018. In his new role, he will oversee all legal matters for TrueBlue worldwide, including strategic transactions, litigation, compliance, ethics, third-party risk, real estate and government relations. He will also lead the company’s corporate citizenship efforts.

“His extensive experience in global staffing and employment, strategic partnerships, risk mitigation, and compliance will help to further TrueBlue’s ongoing digital transformation and market leadership,” said TrueBlue CEO Patrick Beharelle.
