Former Bureau of Labor Statistics Economist to Elevate ASA Research

The American Staffing Association today announced Noah Yosif as its new chief economist. In this vital role, Yosif will oversee the association’s efforts to analyze economic trends, provide insights into the staffing industry, and contribute to informed policy advocacy.

Yosif brings an extensive background in identifying and analyzing the top economic and labor trends in the country and around the globe. Among his previous roles, he served as an economist at the U.S. Department of Labor’s Bureau of Labor Statistics and worked at the U.S. Department of the Treasury. He has provided media analysis on economic issues such as monetary and fiscal policy, economic growth, and inflation to numerous national and international media outlets.

“We are excited to welcome Noah as our chief economist,” said Richard Wahlquist, chief executive officer at ASA. “His keen understanding of economic trends and their implications for labor markets will be instrumental in guiding our association’s members and their clients as well as policy makers. Yosif holds a master of public administration degree with a focus on economic and financial policy from the University of Pennsylvania, a master of arts in applied economics from the George Washington University, and a bachelor of arts in economics from the George Washington University.
