Inflation down for the eighth straight month (CNN)

The Consumer Price Index fell in February for the eighth consecutive month and marked the lowest level since September 2021, CNN reported. The CPI measured 6% year over year in February, down from 6.4% in January and in line with economists’ expectations. “Inflation has peaked, but it hasn’t gone into hibernation,” Mark Hamrick, senior economic analyst at Bankrate, told CNN.
