New York City businesses with four or more employees will have to post minimum and maximum salary information in job ads starting May 15, Newsweek reported. It was approved by the New York City Council in December and became law Jan. 15 when Mayor Eric Adams declined to veto it. The law also covers contract workers, interns and freelancers. It’s among other jurisdictions enacting salary transparency laws.
