The global staffing industry has taken a significant hit from Covid-19 with many countries seeing activity drop below levels seen during the 2009 recession, according to a report late last month by the World Employment Confederation, an organization representing the global staffing industry.

It also noted the largest global staffing firms reported drops in revenue during the first quarter, which only represented the initial impact of pandemic lockdown measures.

Staffing agency work employment levels reached their lowest level in the US in April, the report said, citing data from the American Staffing Association.

The WEC’s report is online.
