The Planet Group, a Chicago-based staffing firm, is acquiring Strive Consulting, a Chicago-based provider of management consulting and staffing.
Strive Consulting was founded in 2016 and, in addition to Chicago, has offices in Atlanta; Columbus, Ohio; Dallas; and Minneapolis. Its key practice areas include data and analytics, technology enablement, and management consulting.
The Planet Group, a provider of life sciences and IT staffing, ranks among the largest US staffing firms. It’s a portfolio company of private equity firm Odyssey Investment Partners, which took a majority stake in the firm earlier this year.
The acquisition comes as The Planet Group works to build out its technology offerings. The company has made several other acquisitions in 2021, including OmniPoint Staffing and I.T. Works Recruitment. In addition, it launched its Rokster division in May that specializes in cybersecurity, AI, blockchain and business intelligence. It also formed Planet Technology in January, which included technology staffing divisions and the acquired WinterWyman business as well as other acquired business lines.
