Workers increasingly live far away from their office thanks to remote work in a trend called “ZIP code shift,” The New York Times reported. US workers now live roughly twice as far away from their offices as they did prior to the Covid-19 pandemic. The phenomenon is primarily driven by white-collar workers who earn more than $100,000 per year in jobs such as tech, finance, law, marketing and accounting.
