ZRG, the seventh-largest US executive search firm, acquired Ignata Finance Group, a UK-based executive search and finance recruitment business.

“Partnering with Ignata will enable our European growth strategy both in private equity but across our shared global customers, especially in the UK,” ZRG CEO Larry Hartmann said in a press release. “Adding Ignata to the family of ZRG companies puts us another step closer to true global talent advisory.”

Ignata Finance Group was founded in 2017. It was backed by private equity firm Hamilton Bradshaw, which was founded by James Caan, a longtime staffing industry veteran in the UK, who also served as a judge on Dragon’s Den, the UK version of the US television show Shark Tank.

“The partnership with ZRG marks a pivotal moment in our global expansion,” Ignata Finance Group founder Ben Searls said in a press release. “By joining forces with ZRG, we are not only enhancing our C-suite capabilities but also broadening our reach internationally.”

ZRG has made several recent acquisitions, including Seba International, The Registry, Hub Recruiting, RoseRyan Inc. and Terra Search Partners.

Update: The deal closed during the first week of February. Terms of the transaction were not announced. At this time, Ignata will be referred to as Ignata Finance, a ZRG company.
