Job board firm Job.com today announced the acquisition of QCI Healthcare, a Grand Rapids, Michigan-based staffing agency.

The transaction closed Dec. 23. Terms of the multi-million-dollar acquisition were not disclosed.

“The highly fragmented staffing industry has grown from 6,500 companies in 2000, to over 20,000 today,” said Job.com co-founder and CEO Paul Sloyan. “With the onset of the digital revolution, the staffing industry is ripe for both consolidation and modernization with further digital enhancements.”

Executives and all team members at QCI Healthcare, which counts more than $20 million a year in revenue, will remain with the company.

“My co-founder Christian Vera and I recognized this as a great opportunity to further grow and enhance QCI, while continuing to offer our clients and nurses a first-class level service,” said QCI Medical President Ken Jewett. “The addition of Job.com’s technology will help us bring QCI to the next level, and we are excited by the journey ahead with the rest of the Job.com management and team.”

QCI Healthcare marks Job.com’s fifth staffing firm acquisition — Fortus and Endevis were acquired in August 2021; Talenting, announced in February 2021; and HireVergence, in August 2020. Job.com is seeking to acquire additional small to midsize staffing firms and has further acquisitions scheduled for this quarter. It plans to acquire at least eight staffing firms in North America in a variety of sectors in 2022.
