Kelly Services Inc. (NASDAQ: KELYA) today announced the appointment of the company’s five specialty business leaders and named Jim Bradley as chief administrative officer.

As part of a strategy announced earlier this year, Kelly will manage its business through five specialized business segments, each with a president to drive innovation, execution and growth within their specialty.

“The leadership team we’re announcing today sets Kelly on a clear path to becoming a specialty talent solutions company that accelerates profitable growth, is a career partner for key talent, and delivers differentiated value to our clients,” said President and CEO Peter Quigley.

The following leaders assume the role of president of their respective business segment effective July 1:

Science, engineering and technology — Hugo Malan: Malan joined Kelly in March 2020 as senior VP and president of its STEM specialty business. He will have overall responsibility for the company’s science, engineering and technology business and related product offerings. Malan previously worked at EmployBridge from 2016 to 2019 as president of its commercial businesses before becoming its chief operating officer. In addition, he was executive VP and president of talent and technology solutions for CDI Corp. from 2014 to 2016.

Education — Nicola Soares: Soares, a former educator, has grown Kelly’s Education specialty into the largest education workforce solutions provider in the US. Soares has expanded Kelly’s offerings to include an early childhood education practice, as well as special needs and higher education services. Soares previously was VP of Kelly Education; she is recognized on SIA’s 2020 Staffing 100 list and its Global Power 150 — Women in Staffing

Professional and industrial (formerly commercial) — Deb Thorpe: Thorpe will head the company’s largest, longest-standing portfolio. In 2019, she was appointed senior VP and general manager overseeing staffing operations in the Americas. Previously, she was responsible for the operations of Kelly’s GTS staffing, CWO, RPO, and PPO practices for the Americas and EMEA, leading an integrated operations team that delivered services to many of Kelly’s largest clients. Thorpe has been recognized on SIA’s Global Power 150 — Women in Staffing list.

KellyOCG – Tammy Browning: Browning will drive strategy and growth in Kelly’s outsourcing & consulting portfolio. She joined Kelly as a recruiter and led West Coast operations and then the US IT staffing practice at Kelly before leaving the company and spending seven years at Yoh. Browning returned to Kelly in 2017 as VP of KellyOCG operations and was promoted last year to senior VP, responsible for all OCG-related practice areas and solutions globally. Browning is included on SIA’s 2020 Staffing 100 list.

International – Dinette Koolhaas: Koolhaas, who is based in Switzerland, will focus further specialization across Kelly’s operations in Europe, Russia, Mexico and Brazil. Koolhaas is included on SIA’s 2019 Staffing 100 Europe.
