Nearly a third of small business, 31.4%, believe it will be six months or longer before business returns to its usual level of operations, according to the US Census Bureau’s Small Business Pulse Survey conducted the week of April 26 to May 2.

Another 27.7% said four to six months while 24.1% said two to three months.

However, 3.9% said business should be back to normal in one month or less while 6.2% said they do not believe their business will return to its usual level of operations. Just as a note, 6.7% said Covid-19 has had little or no effect on their usual level of operations.

The Census Bureau’s Small Business Pulse survey includes nonfarm, single-location businesses with between one and 499 employees and receipts of $1,000 or more.

Separately, a study of restaurant bookings in the South indicates things could improve by the end of the year, MarketWatch reported.
