Robert Gans resigned as general counsel and secretary of ShiftPixy Inc. (NASDAQ: PIXY), and the board appointed Mark Absher to the positions of general counsel and secretary effective June 30. Absher has served as ShiftPixy’s deputy general counsel, special projects, since November; he had previously worked at ShiftPixy as principal legal counsel from June 2016 to February 2019. He also served as a board member from September 2017 through February 2019. Absher is the brother of ShiftPixy Chairman and CEO Scott Absher.

American Health Staffing Group named Allison Chen as VP of workforce solutions. She comes to AHSG from a large healthcare staffing firm where she served as senior director of account management. AHSG provides healthcare staffing as well as a VMS and MSP.

Olympic Staffing Services, a Southern California-based staffing firm, announced VP Brian Lamp is taking over as owner from his brother Michael Lamp. Brian Lamp has more than 35 years of staffing experience and joined Olympic in 1984 as an area manager.

Sterling Engineering, a provider of technical staffing, announced that Joey Guzzardo will lead its new office in Baltimore.

Global staffing firm Vaco promoted Nauni Lee to managing director of staffing for accounting and finance at its Orange County, California, office. Lee joined Vaco in 2020 and has 14 years of experience.

Cornerstone OnDemand Inc., a provider of HR and recruiting software, named Carina Cortez as chief people officer, effective today. Cortez has more than 20 years of experience and previously was chief people officer for Glassdoor.
