In a trading update today, Randstad nv reported October revenue rose 17% year over year on an organic basis. The increase was 10.5% compared to October 2019, which had an extra weekend.

The staffing giant noted volume trends in early November indicate continued positive momentum, although the company said it is still exercising caution given pandemic-related instabilities and limited visibility.

“As we look ahead, we re-confirm our long-term financial ambitions, and are encouraged by continued positive momentum into the second half of the year,” CEO Jacques van den Broek said.

The trading update came in advance of a capital markets day presentation today.

Last month, Randstad reported that its third-quarter revenue had risen 21% year over year on an organic basis to €6.27 billion (US$7.30 billion). It had also announced in October that van den Broek will step down as CEO in March 2022.
