The San Francisco Bay Area may require telecommuting even after Covid-19 fades away, NBC reports. The Metropolitan Transportation Commission, a regional government agency in the area, voted last week to move forward with a proposal to require people at large, office-based companies to work from home three days a week as a way to cut down on pollution from cars. However, not everybody was enthralled with the plan. “It’s probably fine if you own a big house out in the suburbs and you’re nearing retirement, but for young workers like me who live in crowded conditions, working from home is terrible,” Steven Buss, a Google software engineer, told the commission.
