The Bonadio Group, a CPA firm, acquired Webber CPA, a Rochester, New York-based accounting firm that also provides finance/accounting staffing. Webber CPA will now operate under The Bonadio Group name.
“As we continue to seek new ways to best service clients, this acquisition posed an ideal opportunity for us to advance our forensic accounting and consulting specialties,” said Bruce Zicari, CEO of The Bonadio Group.
As part of the deal, Karen Webber, founder and owner of Webber CPA, is joining Bonadio as a partner in its consulting service line. Webber is also founder of FraudFindr, a forensic accounting software solution that Bonadio said will add to its expertise.
The Bonadio Group has more than 850 employees in 10 offices, including in Rochester, Buffalo, Syracuse, Albany and New York.
