Vetty, a provider of an AI-based employee verification platform for gig-economy marketplaces and enterprises, announced it is raising $4 million a Pre-Series A funding round.

Denver-based 3Lines Venture Capital, a previous investor in the company, will lead this round by upping its own target investment $1 million. Krishna Kunapuli, a general partner at 3Lines, will join Vetty’s board of directors.

Vetty’s customers include Wag!, Bellhop and Masterclass.

“As an industry, we’re just scratching the surface of the background verification market,” said Vetty Founder and CEO Subrat Nayak.
