HR technology provider HiBob has appointed Ze’ev Rozov as its new COO. Based in London, the technology veteran has previously served as CEO and co-founder for tech startups RewardPod and IconicFuture. “Ze’ev served as the COO of a HiBob customer, helping grow revenue 20x, completing five acquisitions and building a world-class organization. I don’t doubt he will duplicate this success here,” says Ronni Zehavi, CEO and co-founder of HiBoB.

In other HR Tech people moves, talent recruitment solution provider Wedge has named Jason Seiden as head of strategy. The 20-year veteran has more than a decade of experience in the talent recruitment space and co-founded Brand Amber, an employer branding firm that was sold in 2017. Since then, he has served as an HR tech and recruitment consultant.

Flexible work arrangements are here to stay: 70% of HR leaders say the number of hybrid workers had increased since the pandemic and 52% work at companies that offer hybrid work arrangements to at least some employees, according to a survey of 800 HR practitioners and 700 employees conducted by HR platform and payroll provider Gusto. The survey also found that 65% of companies that offer both remote and hybrid arrangements actively sourced candidates outside of their local area; this number grows to 86% for remote-only companies.

HR Tech Funding

Food ordering solution provider Sharebite raised $39 million in Series B fundraising. The food benefits and expense platform aims to expand and launch new products for employers and their high-performance employees. Clients include Activision Blizzard, WeWork, Neuberger Berman and Harry’s—companies that centrally manage employee food ordering and facilitate contactless deliveries at designated drop-off points inside office buildings. Fun fact: Every Sharebite transaction supports a meal donation to food-insecure families via its non-profit partners, including City Harvest and Feeding America.

HR Tech Deals

Manhattan-based talent acquisition firm bowmo has completed its reverse merger with Cruzani, an OTC brokerage firm. Initially announced in the spring, the bowmo team plans to take the company public. “Our final destination is to build a unicorn in the HR tech market, one of the fastest-growing and most capitalized in the U.S.,” said Edward Aizman, bowmo’s founder and CEO. The company’s president, Michael E. Lakshin, added, “Our next destination is NASDAQ.”
