Arianna Huffington is joining the roster of HRE’s Health & Benefits Leadership Conference, the three-day virtual event that will be held May 11-13.

Arianna Huffington

Huffington—founder and CEO of wellness company Thrive Global, founder of The Huffington Post, and author of 15 books—will be joined by Mastercard Chief Human Resources Officer Michael Fraccaro in a discussion at 1 p.m. EDT May 13. During the session, called “Leading with Resilience,” Huffington and Fraccaro will explore how they manage their stress and anxiety, strategies for building mental resilience and what today’s company leaders can do to support their people in the ways that matter most.

The new keynote session adds to an already robust event. The Health & Benefits Leadership Conference—free this year for attendees—will go in-depth on COVID-19 strategies and will include topics such as the mental health crisis, employers’ role in COVID-19 vaccines, caregiving, leadership during a pandemic, financial health and emergency savings.

Joan Lunden, caregiving advocate and former Good Morning America co-host, will open the event on May 11, detailing her experiences—and challenges—caring for her children, aging mother and sick brother, all while working full time, and why she has spent years advocating for better workplace support and family leave laws. Jim Klein, president of the American Benefits Council, who will close out the conference May 13, will go in-depth on how the new Biden administration will reshape healthcare and what employers need to know about benefits policy in 2021.
