Executive search firm RSR Partners announced founder Russell Reynolds, 90, is transitioning from executive chairman to chairman emeritus. Reynolds founded RSR Partners in 1993 and served as its chairman for nearly three decades. Reynolds previously served as CEO and chairman of his eponymous firm, Russell Reynolds Associates, which he founded in 1969.

R. Todd Ruppert, a member of RSR Partners’ advisory board, will be the new non-executive chairman of the Greenwich, Connecticut-based executive search and leadership consulting firm.

“The impact Russ has had on the industry, our firm and me is immeasurable. We are honored that he will remain on our board and that we can continue to access his expertise and insight on finding and selecting the next generation of leaders,” RSR Partners CEO Brett Stephens said.

Taking over the non-executive chairman role, Ruppert has been on the RSR Partners’ advisory board for several years. He has held several leadership roles at T. Rowe Price, a global asset management firm. Ruppert is also the founder and CEO of Ruppert International.

“It is my privilege to join RSR Partners at this pivotal moment for the firm and for the broader profession,” Ruppert said.
