VMS provider Beeline unveiled a new extended workforce platform. Separately, Employment Hero and Apna.co announced funding rounds.

Beeline

VMS provider Beeline this week announced an “extended workforce platform” that aims to push past traditional VMS services. The platform includes enhancements such as upgraded analytics, user interface and connectivity to its clients on top of its VMS offering.

“Beeline’s announcement is indicative of an evolution in the extended workforce management market with the term vendor management system becoming an increasingly narrow description for the breadth and depth of available solutions,” said Matt Norton, global workforce solutions manager at SIA.

With this platform, Beeline reports it has embedded analytics throughout the entire process so all users can access AI-powered insights that uncover trends, and process bottlenecks and data correlations. The new user experience includes AI that analyzes résumés, summarize qualifications and uncover insights.

The package also increases connectivity, enabling clients to integrate providers of their choice into the platform.

“The evolution of external workforce management demands a technology partner built for today’s reality,” Beeline CEO Doug Leeby said. “Our platform goes beyond the typical benefits of a VMS.”

Employment Hero

Employment Hero, an HR, benefits and payroll platform based in Australia, announced an AUD 45 million (US$35.0 million) funding round, Entrepreneur reported. Leading the investments was job board operator Seek. The funding will go to expansion in Australia and Southeast Asian markets as well as to build up features.

Apna.co

Apna.co is based in Bengaluru, India. The funding round was led by Sequoia Capital India and Greenoaks Capital with participation from Lightspeed India and Rocketship.vc.
